Aplicación de un análisis clúster para el estudio de la segregación social en el municipio de Bilbao

Resumen
La segregación residencial es un hecho innegable en cualquier ciudad del mundo. Partiendo de la premisa de que la segregación es un proceso multidimensional, y de que el diagnóstico territorial es el primer paso para poder poner en marcha cualquier tipo de política, en este trabajo realizamos una caracterización y taxonomía de los barrios de Bilbao mediante un análisis clúster a partir del tratamiento y depuración de diferentes fuentes estadísticas: municipales, regionales y nacionales. Nuestro análisis sugiere que son las variables relacionadas con la renta y el estatus migratorio las que, fundamentalmente, condicionan dicha segregación. La identificación de las diferentes tipologías de barrios permitirá reorientar las políticas locales para tratar de dar solución a las áreas afectadas.
