Configuración territorial de los actores sociales involucrados en la gestión del fuego en la sierra de Los Tuxtlas (México)

Resumen

En los últimos años, han cobrado importancia los estudios que resaltan el papel de los diferentes actores sociales que participan en la gestión del fuego. Recientemente, algunos trabajos también han incorporado una visión geográfica, indagando en los aspectos territoriales de la gestión. No obstante, hasta la fecha, existe una carencia de investigaciones de esta índole en las zonas tropicales del mundo. El presente trabajo pretende contribuir a subsanar parcialmente esta laguna de conocimiento, analizando la situación en los últimos años (2016 a 2020) en la sierra de Los Tuxtlas, México, un área con una notable incidencia de incendios forestales. Para ello, se han revisado datos oficiales y se han efectuado entrevistas con representantes de los actores involucrados. El procesamiento de los datos ha incluido el análisis de textos que revela las  diversas actividades realizadas por los actores. Para profundizar en la comprensión de la configuración territorial de los actores, se presenta una cartografía de la geografía organizativa y de las redes de cooperación. Se demuestran áreas con una presencia destacada de diferentes actores y una densa red social pero también otras zonas con poca o nula actividad y se discuten las razones de esta configuración.
