Resumen
El trabajo plantea la elaboración del mapa del miedo del alumnado de educación secundaria de la ciudad de Manacor (Islas Baleares) a través de una investigación. La elaboración de un cuestionario ha sido la base para el diseño de una base de datos sobre lugares y causas que generan miedo entre el estudiantado participante. La conversión de datos cualitativos en datos categóricos y su tratamiento estadístico y espacial han permitido constatar que el género, la edad y el estadio académico tienen una influencia determinante en las causas del miedo esgrimidas y en sus lugares señalados. Por otra parte, el entorno físico es el principal motivo generador de miedo entre el colectivo de adolescentes participantes en esta investigación.
