Costa cantábrica (Santillana del Mar, Spain) (2019)
Main Article Content
Abstract
This picture was taken on December 9, 2019 in the beach Santa Justa, that belongs to Santillana del Mar municipality, on the coast of Cantabria.
The sea beats strongly against the coastal relief made of dipped strata and erodes the coast, making vertical forms. Human activity has resulted in buildings either on the upper clear part for observation and surveillance, or protected by the direction and power of the strata, a space for shelter and religious activity. There is no tree development because of the power of coastal winds, only a vegetation layer.
